BUT WHAT IS CBD?

It all starts with CBGA

CBGA (cannabigerolic acid) is the central precursor or "mother molecule" of the main cannabinoids.

The plant, through specific enzymes, transforms CBGA into different cannabinoid acids such as CBDA, THCA, and CBCA.

From Seed to CBD

CBDA develops in the plant during the flowering phase, approximately 90 to 120 days after the plant germinates.

When subjected to controlled heat (decarboxylation process), CBDA transforms into CBD (Cannabidiol), a non-psychoactive cannabinoid of high and growing scientific interest.

WHAT DO SCIENTIFIC STUDIES SAY?

📌 IMPORTANT NOTE

These results are preliminary, mostly observed in animal or cellular models. Research in humans is still limited.

CBD products are not medicines and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or cure diseases.

💊 Drug-resistant epilepsy

CBD is the only cannabinoid with randomized clinical trials in humans and regulatory approval.

Clinical studies have shown significant reductions in seizure frequency in children and adults with drug-resistant epilepsy, particularly in specific neurological syndromes.

😌 Anxiety and stress

Human clinical trials indicate that CBD can modulate the stress response, reducing amygdala activation.

Anxiolytic effects were observed mainly at higher doses, with the response being dependent on the individual and the formulation.

🧠 Neuroprotection

Experimental models suggest that CBD can protect neurons against oxidative stress and chronic inflammation.

The results are promising in the context of neurodegenerative diseases, but remain pre-clinical.

🔥 Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity

CBD has been shown to reduce inflammatory mediators (such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β) and inhibit NF-κB pathway activation in cellular and animal studies.

These effects are being explored in inflammatory bowel, skin, and joint pathologies.

💥 Pain modulation

In preclinical models, CBD reduced neuropathic hypersensitivity and inflammation.

Clinical evidence in humans is more consistent when CBD is used in combination with other cannabinoids, remaining limited when isolated.

😴 Sleep and circadian rhythm regulation

Initial studies indicate that CBD can improve sleep quality, mainly indirectly, by reducing anxiety or discomfort.

It does not have a classic sedative profile.

🧬 Antitumor activity

In cancer cell lines, CBD has shown inhibition of tumor growth, induction of apoptosis, and reduction of angiogenesis.

These results have been obtained exclusively in vitro or in animal models, without clinical validation.

🧴 Dermatology

Studies on human sebocytes indicate that CBD can regulate sebum production and reduce inflammatory cytokines, suggesting its potential in controlling acne and skin inflammation.
